NOTICE: In recent days the local Utah media has reported on people getting sick from cheese made by a so-far anonymous Salt Lake City man who has for sometime been making cheese in his bath tub and selling it out of the back of his car to Salt Lake City food establishments. Some media outlets reported this individual obtained raw milk from a Midway or Heber Valley dairy which was used in making this cheese. We can assure you it wasn't our dairy or our milk.
We think this is a great opportunity to remind all of our friends and customers that Heber Valley Artisan Cheese and Heber Valley Milk uses only milk from our own dairy, and that our milk is thoroughly tested on a regular basis by the State of Utah, and on a daily basis by the Utah dairy which buys our excess milk. We take pride in the cleanliness of our operation, and state clearly that we follow every guideline and established practice to assure the quality and safety of our products.
By the way, we make our cheese in a stainless steel vat in our sparkling new make room : ) As always we invite you come visit us and see our operation any time!
